Be inspired by art created by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt and Pablo Picasso. We will recreate famous works of art like Van Gogh’s Field of Irises, Monet’s Sailboat at Le Petit Gennevilliers, Klimt’s The Sunflower, and Picasso’s Colombe- all in clay. You better make room to display these masterpieces! The projects your child creates in this camp are going to be amazing! 

Panther Soccer Camp

If you like soccer and are entering grades K-6, then this is for you! The MPA soccer coaches have designed a fun and challenging week of activities for all soccer players, beginner through advanced. Enhance your skills, learn something new, and develop team concepts in a fun and friendly environment. Sample Curriculum: Dribbling, Passing, Receiving, Turns, Fakes & Moves, Shooting, Moving Without the Ball, Passing Combinations, Individual Defending, Defensive Support. All campers receive individual instruction and a camp t-shirt. Camp Coordinator is Tim Sheehan. This camp is open to all MPA and non-MPA students. MPA students are encouraged to invite a friend!

Slime-Tastic Art with Kidcreate Studio

It’s a slime takeover! In this camp, slime is the main event. We’ll explore different slime recipes as we create tons of gooey, sparkly, stretchy, messy goo. From an out-of-this-world glitter solar system slime, confetti cake slime and bubblegum scented slime, we’ll make a different slime during each day of camp. We’ll even throw in a little painting and sculpting on the side, too! Roll up your sleeves, and get ready for the Slime-Tastic time you’ve been waiting for!

Panther Speed and Strength Program (Grades 9-12)

For students entering grades 9-12

The Panther Speed & Strength Program is a dynamic summer training opportunity available to all MPA athletes. The 2024 program is seven weeks long and will consist of 21 training sessions beginning on June 11 and ending on August 1 (no events during the first week of July).

All training will take place at Mounds Park Academy using the Kordosky/McGaha Fitness Center, the Lansing Sports Center, and the McKeown Track. Panther Speed and Strength is designed to develop all elements of sport performance including strength, speed, power, conditioning, and mobility as well as to reduce the risk of injury. Our strength and performance coaches, led by Coach Ryther, are committed to providing a safe and effective training environment for all athletes to pursue their goals.

Participants will receive a t-shirt. On the first day, please report to the Lansing Sports Center (Court 1). Athletic clothes and appropriate footwear are required and personal water bottles are highly recommended.
