Children in pajamas with bugs, favorite cartoon characters and princesses arrived at the Nicholson Center last Thursday night with great excitement and anticipation for the 8th Annual Disney Pajama Concert. As they entered the Nicholson Center, audience members were greeted by Mr. Downs in his pajamas and his Mr. Blue Bear.

Children young and old with blankets, loveys and slippers sat down on the floor with the best view in the house to see the US Orchestra perform music from the Wonderful World of Disney.

Seniors Alix Honda and Maddy Wolfe did a wonderful job narrating and singing. Third Grader Christiana Toole conducted the Orchestra in Mickey Mouse March while the children marched to the music.  The Orchestra played music from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, Pocahontas and classics such as It’s A Small World and Zip-a-dee-do dah.

If you missed the Disney concert this year, come back next year and hope that Mr. Downs is there to greet you in his pajamas!
