The Upper School Vocal Concert, “Soul and Spirit” is this coming Saturday, February 25, at 7:30 p.m in the Nicholson Center.

This concert features MPA’s Upper School Choirs presenting music that promises to “soothe soul” and “lift the spirit”. Highlights include the catchy “Come Fly With Me” by the Jazz Choir , the rousing “Man of La Mancha” as sung by Men’s Chorale,  Stephen Heitzig’s touching “O Colored Earth” along with a silly Norwegian tune called “Ekorn gjekk på volln og slo” by the Women’s Chorale.

The exuberant singing of Chamber Choir on Viadana’s “Exsultate Justi” and Ola Gjeilo’s “The Ground” is sure to inspire while Concert Choir will close the evening with a  a gorgeous setting of a sixteenth century Spanish love poem and a “goosebump” performance of “Battle of Jericho”. The concert is free and open to the public!
