From US Director Randy Comfort: MPA had a special presentation at our Monday morning meeting today as Mike Van Binsbergen from the Prudential Companies awarded Michael Guggenheim (2014) with the very prestigious Prudential Spirit of Community medallion. Michael was selected as the lone high school student from Minnesota to be recognized for this award and he and his family will join the other state winners in early May in Washington D.C. with the chance of being one of five high school students selected for the Presidential Volunteer Service award. The Minnesota State Legislature also passed a resolution to honor Michael for his service work and Mr. Van Binsbergen was able to present Michael with that certificate as well. We are very proud of the person that Michael is every day, but the recognition from the Prudential Award is special and affirms that service is yet another way that MPA students find opportunities to make the world a better place.
