developmentI am pleased to greet you halfway through the 2015-2016 school year. Since I arrived at MPA, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with dozens of MPA’s dedicated staff and faculty as well as MPA students, who are among the brightest and most confident young people I’ve met. In addition, it has been a joy for me to spend a great deal of time with our loyal MPA parents and alumni, whose Panther pride illustrates the spirit and distinctiveness of MPA.

As you may know, the Development Office is charged with creating, renewing, and building relationships with various constituents of the school – alumni, parents, students, trustees, parents of alumni, vendors and businesses, foundations, faculty and staff and friends of MPA – to seek out mutual opportunities that ultimately increase involvement with school activities and programs as well as generate critical financial support. Our goal is to increase levels of service and philanthropy while crafting meaningful opportunities with those who care about and wish to give to MPA.

Through the strategic planning process many new concepts and programs have emerged. Over the next year, we will increase our efforts to strengthen our office infrastructure so we can improve our stewardship and reporting, increase communication and engagement, and expand opportunities for our community to get involved with the school, on and off campus. We will continue to build upon our new Annual Fund Fall Campaign. In addition, there will be new opportunities to join the MPA Legacy Society and Leadership Circle. In the spirit of what makes MPA great, we will continuously explore ways to better accomplish our goals while holding steadfast to the rich traditions on which this great school was founded.

Whether you choose to support the MPA Annual Fund, make a gift to the general endowment, sponsor or participate in the Spring Auction, volunteer on a committee, or customize a special philanthropic gift, your support is vital to our continued success. We hope you will consider making a personal commitment to our school’s campus development efforts.

On behalf of our students, faculty, and staff, I extend sincere thanks to you for all you have done and for what you will do. Please know that your involvement makes a difference.
