On a cold, dreary day, with a damp, spongy, bumpy course, you recorded 10 personal best times, 3 near personal best times, and earned 5 medals. The boys team finished 3rd out of 19 teams.
Margo led our girls team, running within a couple of ticks of her personal best time to finish 4th and earn herself a medal. Katie wasn’t feeling well, but gathered herself during the second half of the race to run within a few seconds of her personal best, finishing 12th and earning a medal. Emily B. ran her best time on this course. Cara ran well in just her second varsity race. Skylar ran her best time of the season to wrap up the scoring for the girls team.
Izzy improved her best time by over 30 seconds as our 6th runner. Ellie was not far behind with her best time of the year. Emily was just a few seconds further back. Mari improved her personal best time by 45 seconds. Ana and Salma ran together most of the race, with Salma finishing her seconds 5000 meter race.
Henry S. led our boys team, finishing 3rd with a personal best time, and earning a medal. Matt was not far behind, eclipsing his personal best time by a second to finish 6th and earn a medal. Cullen finished within a few seconds of his personal best time. Peter improved his personal best time. Henry P. ran his best time of the season to wrap up the scoring for the boys.
Evan ran his personal best. Aneesh improved his personal best by over 40 seconds in his first race of the season. Ben improved his personal best by over a minute, earning a medal as the 2nd 7th grade boy in the race. Louis improved his personal best time by about 45 seconds. Eddie ran his first 5000 meter cross country race. Henry G. ran well. And Noah wrapped things up for our boys, improving his personal best by 13 seconds.
The boys team finished 3rd out of 19 teams, finishing just behind 5th ranked Nova.
This was a solid dress rehearsal for next week’s IMAC Championship. All conference honors will be up for grabs! But first, Fox and Hounds!
