We’re off to a great start in the Lower School so far this year! Students are getting back into the groove of school and are learning lots of new things. As we look ahead, here are some upcoming dates and information:
MPA Homecoming 2023–Wild with Panther Pride
Celebrate Panther Pride by joining in on this year’s Homecoming activities! Lower School students will show their MPA pride on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30! MPA provides Panther pride Homecoming themed t-shirts for all students! They will be distributed to your child during Homecoming week. On Friday, our special Lower School Homecoming Assembly will take place from 8:15-8:45 AM in the Family Commons. Students are invited to wear MPA spirit wear including their special homecoming shirts. On Saturday, September 30, we will host several fun activities and athletics events on campus. Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences
We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus for in-person parent-teacher conferences on:
- Thursday, October 12, 3:30-8 PM
- Friday, October 13, 8 AM-5 PM (No school for students)
Registration and scheduling information were recently sent to all families. The conference scheduling system opens at noon on Friday, September 22 until noon on Friday, September 29. No new conferences can be scheduled after the deadline. If you need any assistance, please reach out to Ms. Michelle in the Lower School Office, at mwiger@moundsparkacademy.org or 651-308-1606.
Grandparents and Special Friends’ Day, October 18
We will welcome Grandparents and Special Friends to campus on Wednesday, October 18. Students may invite their grandparents or special grown-up friends (parent, relative, neighbor, etc) to share in their MPA experience with some classroom time, a performance, and some fun! You can learn more about the special day and RSVP for your guests here! We kindly ask for RSVP no later than Friday, October 13 so that we may plan accordingly for the large number of guests on campus. Please note that October 18 is a full school day, which is a change from past years.
FastBridge Screening Results
This week, we are finishing the FastBridge Learning screening tests. Your child’s FastBridge screening results will be shared with you by our learning specialists, Ms. Alyssa Andretta (aandretta@moundsparkacademy.org) and Ms. Robyn Kramer (rkramer@moundsparkacademy.org) in the coming days. Please feel free to reach out to them with any questions you may have. Ms. Andretta and Ms. Kramer will present more information about Fastbridge during the PA Parent Coffee morning scheduled for the morning of October 3. They will also be in touch with families of children who may benefit from additional learning support this year.
