In the Makerspace, students created 3D frames depicting a scene from their stories to accompany this year's seventh-grade novel writing project. They chose a scene from their novel to highlight, defining it through a foreground, midground, and background.

Every year, after reading the beloved "Strega Nona", fourth grade prepares a special MPA meal in the Teaching Kitchen. From scratch, they chop garlic, onions, and tomatoes for a delicious pasta sauce, before making their homemade pasta noodles to enjoy together, family style.
Beginning Ceramics added sgraffito (carved) designs to their coil pots. Before doing so, they had to calculate the volume’s circumference and map out their plans on paper before carving them into the pot's surface.
As one of the ways Ms. Roche's kindergarten students are exploring harvest celebrations, they read "Balloons Over Broadway," a great story of design and perseverance. Then, in the Makerspace, they designed their own balloons and paraded them through the three divisions for "Balloons Over MPA."

Pastels, a delicate method of drawing, is one of the many ways Middle School artists bring their visions to life in their art classes. Their work is displayed in a collective exhibit on campus.
Each Upper School student is required to complete a minimum of 60 hours over four years in order to graduate. Thirty hours are required for the Senior Service Project regardless of how many hours a student has completed during the first three years.
As one of their first STEAM projects of their Middle School career, fifth graders sketch, build, and launch their own bottle rockets in a unit that combines math, physics, and engineering.
Future Cities is an interdisciplinary eighth grade science unit that combines a dedication to sustainability with a commitment to the project’s tedious details, time management, and overall engineering theme—all while collaborating in small teams.
