Weapons
The possession and/or use of weapons on campus are prohibited and will result in one or more of the following:
- Confiscation of the weapon
- Notification of parents/guardians
- Suspension from school (the length will be determined by the administration)
- Expulsion from school
- Notification of local authorities
“Possession” refers to having a weapon on one’s person or in an area on campus subject to her/his control (i.e. a locker, car, backpack, etc.). A “weapon” includes, but s not limited to, any firearm, whether loaded or unloaded, or a look-alike, or any instrument which is capable of causing bodily harm or death. Some examples are guns, knives, clubs, swords, metal knuckles, throwing stars, and explosives.
